Elephant Welfare Sanctuary
Those elephants will be cut off from help. It’s not like elephants in the big camps that tourists can access.
Many elephant families still have to contend with this change. Especially families who do not have access to the tourism industry.
This EWS project has seen with those problems, we have sought a way to help small elephant camps in the countryside in order to raise the standard of elephants and their care takers livings. And We are committed to being an elephant family before their elephants fall into the hands of businessmen trying to take advantage of their elephant camps. If their places are not suitable we will help them to improve the places or seeking the new places for them for better environment surroundings.
Currently, elephants in Thailand are well taken care of by their owners and caretakers because those who can raise elephants and live with them must have a lot of love and sacrifice. You have to be with them all the time. And elephants are very valuable and have emotional value for the elephant family, including Thai people because elephants are one of the symbols of Thailand.
According to Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, there are 7,300 elephants in Thailand in Total. ( 3,500 domestic elephants and 3,800 domestic elephants )
In our places there will be elephants approximately 3-8. only because we focus on helping elephants who truly lack opportunities And there is still a great need for help. And we really want you to experience and learn on your visit to Thailand. You will get to experience the elephant family up close.
